The Firefly belief
Water is not separate from soil. Waste is not separate from energy. A landscape is not separate from the people and wildlife that use it.
Firefly connects these moving parts into practical systems—designed around the site, built with specialists, and supported after installation.

About Firefly
Firefly Life Sciences was founded in 2012 with an early focus on nanotechnology and agriculture. It has since grown into a multidisciplinary practice spanning regenerative agriculture, biological water treatment, waste, clean energy and ecological landscapes.
That breadth matters. A farm, estate, campus or resort does not experience soil, water and waste as separate departments. Firefly brings scientists, designers, engineers and field practitioners together to shape one connected response.
Founded by Shiva Subramanian and Nandita Abreo, Firefly's multidisciplinary journey took shape in 2012 when Priya C. Mahalingashetty joined forces with them. Together, they are supported by a specialist network spanning agriculture, microbiology, water and permaculture.

Start with the problem
Four connected systems. One healthier, more resilient site.

Soil & crops
Site-specific crop protocols, biological inputs, biochar and regenerative design for farms and estates that need resilience, not another quick fix.
Explore regenerative agriculture ↗
Water
Constructed wetlands, harvesting, watershed design and aquatic planting that treat, conserve and reuse water around the reality of the site.
Explore living water ↗
Landscapes
Biodiversity-led, water-aware habitats designed for beauty, function and long-term life across campuses, resorts, homes and communities.

Organic waste
Biomethanation systems that convert suitable organic waste into gas, energy and agricultural by-products within a more useful loop.
Explore clean energy ↗Selected projects
Different briefs. One consistent approach: make ecology useful, site-specific and built for the realities of operation.
01A biophilic interior where layered planting, natural textures and spatial design bring a restorative living system into the built environment.
