A Firefly solution / 02

Treat water as
a living system.

Firefly designs water harvesting, constructed wetlands and aquatic systems that work with plants, microbes, topography and the real patterns of a site.

Field signalThe clearest sign of progress is less water drawn and more water kept in circulation.

The visible problem is rarely the whole problem.

Firefly connects the pressures shaping the site, then builds a practical response around them.

Where pressure shows up

  • 01Untreated wastewater or inconsistent water quality
  • 02Groundwater dependence and seasonal scarcity
  • 03Runoff leaving the site too quickly
  • 04Poor infrastructure for capturing rainfall and coping with climate variability

One continuous field cycle
01

Trace the water

Map sources, flows, quality, demand, discharge points and seasonal change.

02

Separate the jobs

Define what must be harvested, slowed, treated, stored, reused or safely released.

03

Design the biology

Match filtration, microbes, planting zones and hydraulic movement to the water and site.

04

Support operation

Build maintenance and monitoring into the system so performance can be understood over time.

05

Reuse with purpose

Return treated water to landscape or operations where quality and demand align.

Coffee pulping water, treated through a constructed wetland.

At Yemmegundi Estate, acidic coffee-pulping effluent is routed through a living treatment system. The useful proof is pleasingly unromantic: past regulatory approvals recorded the treated water meeting India's Pollution Control Board standards.

You do not need a finished brief. Share what you are seeing and Firefly will help frame the right starting point.
